Bindings
Twentieth-century binding of quarter brown pigskin and brown paper over pasteboard. The spine has four raised bands. Gold-tooled in the second panel are the words: Supplementum Summae Pisanellæ. In the fourth panel is the Brotherton Collection library stamp in gold. Gold-tooled in the bottom panel are the place and date: Coloniæ. 1483. Many watermarks, including the gothic letter P, a shell, a pot with one handle and an animal, possibly a dog. Size: 285 x 223mm. Leaf size: 277 x 205mm.

Inscription in Latin, late fifteenth- or early sixteenth-century, on the recto of the first leaf.

Coloured armorial bookplate of Sir Edward Allen Brotherton on the front pastedown. The book was most likely acquired before 17 June 1929 when Brotherton was created Baron Brotherton of Wakefield.
