1. Folder of documents relating to the stained glass window commissioned from Hannah Stained Glass, commemorating the School's 50th anniversairy. Includes newscuttings, photographs, cards, planning papers and papers relating to the unveiling, 1997-2002.
Biography or history
Until 1946 there was a single department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, housed in the Baines Wing. Then two separate departments were established, which moved into new buildings on Woodhouse Lane in the early 1960s. The Architects of the 1886 building were Alfred Waterhouse and Paul Waterhouse. The Architects for the new buildings were Lanchester and Lodge.
