Description

Includes papers relating to Ben Read’s work with the Public Monument Sculpture Association, the Historic Churches Committee, the MLA, the New Leeds Art Club and as Director of the Masters in Sculpture Studies at the University. Many papers concern Read's work on, and research for, the 1993 exhibition, and publication of the same name, ‘A British World Vision of Art: A Centenary Tribute to Sir Herbert Read’. The collection also includes some personal and family papers, along with articles and books which belonged to Herbert Read.
