Posthumously published; Henry Holland, who signs 'The epistle to the Kings Majestie' and 'The epistle to the Earle of Holland', at the beginning of the work, saw it through the press.
Signatures: pi⁴ 2[par.]⁶ (a)² A-2E⁴ 2F⁶.
Additional engraved title-page reads: "Cyrupaedia or The institution and life of Cyrus King of Persians. Written in Greek by Xenophon. Translated into English by Philemon Holland. Ao Dom: 1632. Printed for Robert Allot." (Marshall no.8 in A.P. Johnson). This page is signed: "Hh invent.; Will. Marshall sculpsit." (Hh not identified).
"Naumachia, or, A poetical description of the cruell and bloudy sea-fight or battaile of Lepato... by Abraham Holland" has a separate title page with imprint: "London, printed for Henry Holland. 1632"; separate pagination, register is continuous.
A variant lacks the "Naumachia" (2E⁴, 2F⁶) and additional dedication ((a)) from Henry Holland to Henry Rich, Earl of Holland.
"Naumachia" is a reprint of STC 13580, published in 1622, with different preliminaries. --ESTC.
