Bindings


Late-fifteenth-century pasteboard binding flush with the text block. There are two leather sewing supports on the upper and lower covers. Written in eighteenth-century ink manuscript directly on the upper cover, now indistinct, are details of the place of publication and printer. Written in ink manuscript directly onto the lower cover, inverted: JTE LIBER. Written directly onto the spine in black ink manuscript is the author's name: Grapaldus. Part of the head of the spine has been lost and there is some damage to the outer edge of the upper cover. The book is fragile and is preserved in a box. Size: 195 x 156mm. Leaf size: 195 x 150mm.
