Includes introduction by Joseph Warren, dated June 28, 1844, and list of members of the Council of the Musical Antiquarian Society for its 4th. year, from 1 November 1843 to 31 October 1844.


Also includes dedication by John Hilton to William Heather, "Doctor of Musicke", from the original edition, two poem to the author "Upon his Ayres" by Edward Lake and John Rice, and facsimile of original title page.
