Description
Album of uncaptioned photographs probably of William Henry Marsh and his fellow servicemen during the First World War. There are also post-First World War family, travel and other photographs (including Brighton workhouse, 1928.
The tentative identification based on 1921 captioned photograph and the 1949 newspaper cutting at back of album.
Biography or history
William Henry Marsh served in a Scottish regiment and the Royal Engineers during the First World War. He was possibly the William Marsh who married Lizzie Ethel Crocker in Jhansi on 15 November 1899.
