Photocopied extract from Margaret Handford "Some West's of Furthest Cornwall: A Family's History". Detailed history of his musical background. Served on HMS York, a Q-Ship, describing an action off Gibraltar involving the destruction of a German U-Boat. Completed his war service in Gibralter on shore based duties due to poor eyesight.
