Manuscript diary notebook (17 Feb-24 Dec 1918); Photocopied typescript recollections, in diary form, with photocopied photographs (nd); c 100 manuscript letters to his mother from Gallipoli and Egypt/Palestine (1915-1918); Typescript and press cutting of short play 'Into the Shadows' (1916); Photocopies of 2 typescripts, one based on diaries (1913-1919), the other on letters sent home (Dec 1914-Nov 1918) documenting experiences in Gallipoli, Sinai and Palestine.
Biography or history
Evans, Maurice Cann (b 1896). Private, 1st Light Horse Field Ambulance, AIF (Australian Imperial Force). Attended Aldenham School, OTC (Officer Training Corps). Enlisted in Aug 1914 and served at Gallipoli, 1915, and in Egypt/Palestine, 1916-1918.
