Biography or history

Clay, Albert Henry (1896-1957). Trained with the University of London Officer Training Corps. 2nd Lieutenant and Acting Captain, 1st Battalion, 10th London (Hackney) Regiment, serving at Gallipoli and in Egypt/Palestine. Mentioned in Despatches on 3 Apr 1918 and promoted to the rank of Major on 1 Aug 1919. Also served with the Home Guard during the Second World War.
