Biography or history
Brookling, Henry William (b 1895). Private, 15th Battalion, London Regiment (Civil Service Rifles), serving on the Western Front, Mar 1915-Jan 1916, and Captain, 11th and 17th Battalions, Royal Fusiliers, serving on the Western Front from 7 Mar 1917. Taken POW (Prisoner of War) on 23 Mar 1918. Awarded the Belgian Croix de Guerre and the MC (Military Cross) in 1918.
