Originally folded as pocket atlas 21 x 8 cm.


This work is better known under the title "Quartermaster's Map" which was applied to it in 1688. It was first issued by Thomas Jenner in 1644. Roads were added, more or less according to Ogilby, by Jenner's successor Garrett, about 1676--Whitaker: The Harold Whitaker Collection... Univ. of Leeds, 1947, p. 35.
