Description
All but two of the maps and plans were drawn by G. Cole and engraved by J. Roper under the directions of E.W. Brayley or J. Britton, and originally issued to accompany The Beauties of England and Wales, by Brayley and Britton. They were re-issued in English Topography by Joseph Nightingale in 1816 and later in other works--Whitaker: The Harold Whitaker Collection... Univ. of Leeds, 1947, p. 64.

Town plans: Bedford, Cambridge, Canterbury, Carlisle, Chester, Colchester, Coventry, Derby, Durham, Exeter, Glocester, Hertford, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and Gateshead, Northampton, Norwich, Oxford, Shrewsbury, St. Albans, Winchester, Worcester.
Town plans have vignettes of sights of local interest.
