Description
First 3 leaves, incl. t.-p., are engraved.
This edition is printed from a third set of engraved plates, which actually came into use in 1822. Those county maps printed with the East or West at the top of the page have place-names, etc. lettered to be legible when the map is turned so that the North is at the top. There are slight changes in some of the mail-coach routes from the edition of 1824. Cf. Whitaker: The Harold Whitaker Collection... Univ. of Leeds, 1947, p. 58.
The imprint on each map reads: London. Published by G. & J. Cary No. 86 St. James's Str.
