Description

The first edition of an exceedingly popular pocket atlas of the counties. The maps details are confined to the places on the main roads only. There were about fourteen editions and the engraved plates had twice to be renewed, in 1806 and 1822. Cf. Whitaker: The Harold Whitaker Collection... Univ. of Leeds, 1947, p. 57.
