Description

This contains the maps, but not the text, from Moll's A new description of England and Wales, 1724. The only alteration is that the plates are now numbered, within brackets between the border lines, in the top left corner. Cf. Whitaker: The Harold Whitaker Collection... Univ. of Leeds, 1947, p. 42.

Additional description

This volume was apparently once the property of John Doharty Junr., a famous architect, who had used the plain backs of the maps for sketching palatial mansions, ornamental bridges, etc.
