Description

The second volume of a 6-volume work, known as 'Civitates orbis terrarum', all except the sixth volume, by Georg Braun assisted by Franz Hogenberg, who was mainly responsible for the engravings; in this volume, Simon Novellanus [S. van der Noe] was also involved as engraver.


Engraved part-title-page, but no general title-page.


Ad lectorem dated 1575.


Imprint from colophon; imprimatur on verso of part-title-page states: 'Datum Bruxellae, XXII. Novem. M.D.LXXIII'.


Dedication p,[3], signed 'Georgius Bruin, Simon Novellanus, Franciscus Hogenbergius'.
