Biography or history

Moore, Henry (1898-1986). Private, 15th Battalion, London Regiment (Artists Rifles)/ 4th Battalion, London Regiment, Civil Service Rifles; Born at Castleford and educated at Castleford Grammar School, Leeds School of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. Sculptor and War Artist.; Enlisted 1917 and was in action in the advance at Cambrai describing vividly being shelled both with high explosive and gas shells; As he had been gassed, he was returned to England for hospital treatment and eventually became a Physical Training Instructor; Finished the war in UK and went on to become a renowned sculptor and War artist.
