Biography or history

Macmillan, Harold. (1894-) (Tape 560/Transcript). 15th Battalion, King's Royal Rifles, 4th & 2nd Battalions, Grenadier Guards; To France mid 1915 and describes actions at the Battle of Loos, mentioning Bully-les-Mines, Fromelles and Hill 70 near which he was wounded; Describes in detail, life in the trenches and the characters and organisation of the Brigade of Guards; Wounded by a sniper on the Somme in Sept 1916 and describes his experiences of being in No Mans Land all day and his attempts to get medical treatment after being found by his Sergeant.
