Description
Erroneously attributed to Edward Chamberlayne who wrote the three parts of "Angliae notitia, or The present state of England". However, part 3 of this work is not the same as part 3 of "Angliae notitia" and, in fact, this work was intended to be a supplement to Chamberlayne's work.
"To the reader" in part 4 claims responsibility for both parts and is signed: J.S.
Each part with a separate dated title page.
Part 4 has imprint: London, printed by R. Holt for William Whitwood,... 1683; with separate pagination and register.
"England's guide to industry:" has a separate dated title page, on leaf chi, with imprint: London, printed by R. Holt for T. Passinger... and B. Took, 1683. This is the first and unauthorized issue of Petty's Political arithmetick. With separate pagination (which jumps from 72 to 75), register begins with quire 2A.
Third part of the Present state of England.
Indexed in: Wing (2nd ed., 1994) C1844; Kress 1575 (part).
