Description

Four plates engraved by T. Cheesman, three by F. Bartolozzi, and one each by Vandenberg and W. N. Gardiner, all marked in the plate. Head and tail vignettes depicting putti.

Pasted on the blank verso of the fly-title to "Palamon and Arcite" is the engraved half-title to a string quartet by F. Abel - presumably a further example of the work of the illustrator of this volume
