A reply to George Buchanan's 'De jure regni apud Scotos' and Robert Parsons's 'A conference about the next succession', both reprinted in 1681, and Sir James Stewart's 'Naphtali, or The wrestlings of the Church of Scotland... ', 1667. Robert Dolman was a pseudonym used by Parsons.


"That the lawful successor cannot be debarr'd from succeeding to the crown: maintain'd against Dolman, Buchannan, and others." has separate dated title page, pagination and register.


Leaves C7-8 of "That the lawful sucessor... [etc.]" are cancelled. Pagination is continuous, with p. 44 with catchword: were.
