Written in reply to Richard Hollingworth the younger's 'A defence of King Charles the first', 1692 and another tract entitled 'A vindication of their Majesties wisdom', 1691, which the author of this tract attributes to Hollingworth. 'A letter to Sir E.S.' was published under Ludlow's name in 1691.
Not in fact written by Edmund Ludlow (DNB). The work of a republican pamphleteer who wrote under the name of General Ludlow, or Edmund Ludlow, Lieutenant General.
'Sir E.S.' = Edmund Seymour; 'the late abdicated King' = James II.
Imprint probably spurious.
