Description

Originally attributed to Charles I, but, according to Madan (p. 125-33), written by John Gauden, who probably included some authentic writings of the King.


The portrait is signed: Guil: Marshall sculpsit.


First two words of title in Greek characters.


Printer's and publisher's names from Madan; the publication year is given according to Lady Day dating.


The last leaf is blank.


The second state of the first edition. The imprint has been reset; quire G is mispaginated, as in the first state; page 244 misnumbered 444.
