Indices to the Domesday book were printed in 1811, and reprinted in 1814, with the addition of a general introduction by Henry Ellis. Preliminary matter for this 1816 issue, includes a t.p. dated 1816, contents, an Address of the House of Commons to the King, and a commission from the King. This volume was issued to Parliament in 1817 by the Record Commission, and is often considered as the third volume of the Domesday book set printed in 1783.
