The first two words of the title are in Greek characters.
Authorship of the Eikon basilike was originally attributed to Charles I, but according to Madan (pp. 125-33) it was written by John Gauden who probably included some authentic writings of the king.
Date in imprint given according to Lady Day dating.

Wants correct frontispiece (no. 14), and blank final leaf frontispiece no. 2 inserted facing p. 1. Inserted facing p. 232 is a portrait of the prince, not among those described by Madan.
