Biography or history

Eshborn, Charles. Private, later Sergeant, 3rd Infantry Labour Company, 31st Battalion ('The Kaiser's Own'), Middlesex Regiment, serving on the Western Front, 1916-1918. He also served with the Home Guard in the Second World War.

Provenance

The papers were placed in the Collection by Colonel JAC Bird, Regimental Secretary, Queen's Lancashire Regiment, Preston, in [1989] (see note in file). See also Research Correspondence file under Lancashire County Council.
