Description
The unsigned poems are by William Combe; the rest are signed either "J.P." [J.B. Papworth] or "W." [F. Wrangham].
Thomas Rowlandson's name does not appear upon any of the plates in this volume, 11 of which were engraved by J.C. Stadler, and 3 by J. Bluck, according to the letterpress at the foot. The remaining six - presumably the work of Rowlandson - omit the name of the engraver. The designer, J. Green, signs all the plates in the volume.
Additional description
Wanting: plate The shower bath . One of a set of five volumes illustrated by Rowlandson, in early nineteenth-century red morocco, gilt-tooled, cottage-style bindings (rebacked).
