Description
The three books into which the work is divided are augmented versions of the "Institutio philosophia", "Historia naturae" and "Dissertatio de carentia sensus & cognitionis in brutis", first published in 1672, 1673 and 1675 respectively. The whole work, including the plates, was commissioned by Blome.
The plates prefixed to books 2 and 3 carry printed dedications on their recto sides.
Books 2 and 3 are paged continuously in a second sequence (nos. 93-96 omitted in error).
