Compiled by M. Concanen or J. Dennis? Pope ascribed the preface to Concanen in The Dunciad, variorum, Appendix II, where partial contents and ascriptions of some of the pieces are given. For complete contents, cf. Guerinot.


Six pieces from the Daily journal were previously reprinted in A Collection of several curious pieces... 1728; chiefly attributed by Pope to James Moore Smythe.
