Biography or history

Baynes, Sir Rory (b 1886). Born at Reigate, Surrey, and educated at Harrow. 2nd Battalion, Cameronians, serving in India and South Africa before the First World War and on the Western Front in 1915. Wounded in June 1915 and later returned to Africa . Adjutant, 9th and 10th Battalions.
