Excerpt from bookseller's catalogue on front pastedown explains that Mr Lacy of theatrical renown collected these original editions of Shadwell's plays over 30 years. MS. annotations by bookseller on front flyleaf, including possible price 6/6/-. Black inkstamp on verso of title page: Duplicate Bridgewr. Liby [i.e. private library of the Edgerton family amassed from 1600. It also has the characteristic 17th century ink numbering upper right hand corner on title page of this tract found in volumes from the Bridgewater Library, see De Ricci, page 17. Sales of duplicates by auction were held on 27 April and 8 June 1802 and 26 May 1804].
