Description
The attribution of this edition to Ayloffe on the title-page is false. Ayloffe died in 1706.
The volumes is divided into two sections, the first of which (to p.224) consists of the preface to Ayloffe's edition of 1702, the whole of Sedley's "Miscellany poems" and the seven parliamentary speeches already published in that edition, four poems here ascribed to Sedley for the first time, and the "New miscellany of poems by several... hands". The second section, with part-title: "A compleat collection of ... speeches in both Houses of Parliament" has separate pagination.
With list of "New books just publish'd, printed for Sam. Briscoe, and sold by B. Bragg" (1 p.) at end.
