Title-page in red and black.
Title vignette, initials, head- and tail-pieces.
Epistle dedicatory to J--n R--h, i.e. John Rich, 1682?-1761, pantomimist and theatrical manager, renowned for his performances of Harlequin.
With advertisements on final page.
Signatures: [a]² b⁴ B-H⁴ I².
There are three variant states of I2: with a wrong catchword "Friend-" on p. 57, and p. 58 correctly numbered; with the right catchword, and p. 58 correctly numbered; and with the right catchword, and p. 58 misnumbered '57'.--Foxon.
Subsequently published with Miller's name--Foxon.
A verse paraphrase of Horace's Ars poetica signed Harlequin Horace; with relevant Latin originals from Horace's Ars poetica in footnotes.
