Each part has a special t.p., that of pt. 4-5 dated 1677. The words "The first part" appear on the main title-page, as well as on the special title to pt.1.
Printer's ornament varies: pts. 1-3, foliage with scroll-work; pt. 4, crossed sprigs with leaves, surmounted by crown; pt. 5, no ornament.
Dedication of pt. 2-3 signed: J. Davies, that of pt. 4 signed: G.H., of pt. 5: G. Havers.
Two plates, engraved: frontispiece portrait of "Monsieur George de Scudery"; folding map (after A4).

Collation agrees with Library of Congress copy. Wanting: Ff4 - an unpaged leaf according to the Library of Congress catalogue. Bound in its place - between books 1 and 2 of pt. 2 - is one of two versions of the special title to pt. 3, carrying the dedication on its verso. The other, from a different setting-up of type, is correctly bound at the beginning of the third pt. It has a blank verso, the dedication occupying both sides of the following leaf.
