The epistle dedicatory signed "Th. Hickes"; preface and following english translation of an epigram by Lucian signed "T.H."

Additional description
According to Madan's analysis, this copy lacks the two final pages (blank?). Piece cut out of the headlines of B2 and B4. Several signatures (17th-18th century) on title-page and elsewhere: William Agar (deleted), also a damaged inscription along the margin recording the purchase of the book from him Robert Hobson, on title-page, and also, deleted, on A2r, with date 1697 Robert Elyer(?), deleted J[ohn] Riddell Geo: Carr, 1716, on A2r on the original front flyleaf, an inscription records the gift of the book from William Rees to John Walters, February 8th 1790, with above it, the ownership inscription of the recipient(?) John Henry Walters, February 10th, 1792 at the foot of the same page are initials C G F (?), pressmark, and date 4 May 1825. A MS commentary on Lucian has been written on the verso of the original flyleaf, facing title-page. A 19th century armorial bookplate, Cathcart of Carbiston, is pasted inside the front cover
