Part 1 contains a prose satire on Archbishop Williams's flight to his fortified house at Cawood, and on the twelve bishops.


Part 2 is a verse satire on the refusal of Sir Roger Twysden to take the New Oath, entitled 'A diologue [sic] between two zealots concerning &c. in the new oath...[etc].


Attributed to John Taylor, the water poet. cf. NUC pre-1956.


Possibly by Henry Walker, "the ironmonger".


Large woodcut on title-page, and another at the head of p.[7].
