Description
The collection was republished by Curll in 1727 as part of some copies of "The altar of love" (Case 340).
The editorship has been variously attributed to "Jeremiah" [i.e. John] Markland or to Edmund Curll (See Straus (p.272), Foxon (p.448) and BM catalogue).
"Verses occasioned by Mr. Tickell's translation of the First Iliad of Homer, by Mr. Pope" (called Satire upon Mr. Addison" on t. p.): p. 90-92; first published in the St. James's journal, Dec. 15, 1722; included in An epistle from Mr. Pope, to Dr. Arbuthnot, 1734.
