Description

"A satyr against Separatists" has separate title-page; first published in 1642 over the initials "A.C. generosus", and variously attributed to Hausted, John Taylor the "water-poet" and Abraham Cowley, it is now considered to be the work of Cowley [cf. NOYES & MEAD: An essay on satyr [etc.], in University of California publications in English, 7(3), 1948].


Running heads: "A Lecture to the People" and "A satyr against Separatists."
