All texts based on copies in the Brotherton Collection, with the exception of Wycherley's "The plain dealer"and Farquhar's "The recruiting officer". All are first editions, except Farquhar's "The constant couple", taken from the corrected third edition, 1701.


Finally published March 1974, in four volumes.
