Description
Greek text and two Latin translations in parallel columns.
Bèze's fourth and last major editon. Reproduces the text of the third major edition, of 1588, with only two alterations. Differs in 49 passages from R. Stephanus' third editon, of 1550. No other Greek Testament agrees so closely with the text which underlies the English New Testament in King James' Bible.
All mention of place and printer are omitted. Title page bears the device of an olive tree, etc. with the motto: Vide benignitatem ac severitatem Dei. Another issue has statement of printer as given here.
