Engraved title page reads: An exact collection of the choicest poems & songs, relating to the late times, & continued by the most eminent witts, from AD 1639. to 1661. With captions to two of the 5 panels: "The Puritan", and "Covenanter".
Wing catalogues this edition under Brome, Alexander; but places the first and second under Ratts and Rump respectively (R307 and R2275).
With additional engraved title page, not counted in signatures or pagination. Title within single line border; headpieces, initial. Numbers 73-82 are omitted from the pagination of Part II.
The fourth edition of "Ratts rhimed to death", 1660. Case records four editions in all (two in 1660, one in 1662, and a fourth, in two volumes, published in 1731). An edition not recorded by Case or Wing (the third) appeared in 1661.
