Some illustrations partially hand-coloured. MS notes on p. [3] rendered illegible by washing of leaves. Presentation inscription to James Foulsham from his Aunt Write, September 13 1793 on recto of back free endpaper, together with further inscription in a different hand, I give this to Mary Daye a childish verse written by James Foulsham, Norwich, 1794, is on verso of front free endpaper, and a signature, Mary Cooper now Mary Daye on the back pastedown. Armorial bookplate of the Hon. Marmaduke Dawnay pasted inside front cover booklabel of Graham Pollard pasted on recto of front free endpaper. Contemporary binding, black morocco, gilt, with initials E.D. stamped, upside down, in centre of front and back boards possibly the binding was inverted during repair
