Description

Private copies of the King's letters, and original letters to him, seized after Naseby and published to show the King's real views and double dealing. The limits of date are in general 20 December 1644 to 9 June 1645, with some earlier. There are 20 letters from the King to the Queen, and 5 from her to him.

Catchword between pp.32-33 indicates some disturbance of the original design.

Thomason's copy received ca. July 10, so probably published ca. July 9.

Published by T. May, H. Parker, and J. Sadler, cf. D. of Nat. Biog. v.43 p. 240.
