The initials H.C.L. on the title page are in the form of a monogram.


H.C.L. is Henry Carey, Baron Leppington, later earl of Monmouth.

Additional description

The pastedown at either end is conjugate with a stub on the inside of the first and last gathering respectively. On the recto of both stubs the inner vertical rule of the frame surrounding the text is visible. Nothing is wanting, apparently
