Comprises engraved t.p. (signed: IB [Isaac Beckett?] in: et fecit), "Cupid to the ladies, a sonnet," with French translation and full-page engraved illustration, and 44 emblems, each consisting of a full-page engraving facing a page of short verses in Latin, English, Italian and French. Both illustrations and text are for the most part copied from earlier works, e.g. Otto van Veen's Amorum emblemata, 1608.
