"Clarindons House-warming" is known to be by Andrew Marvell. -- cf. DNB.


A satirical poem in reply to Waller's "Instructions to a painter for the drawing of the fortune and progress of His Majesty's forces at sea".


The present edition comprises "The second advice to a painter" and "The third advice to a painter", plus two additional poems also entitled "Directions to a painter".
