Description
The attribution to the Archbishop of Cambray (François de Salignac de la Mothe-Fénelon) on the title-page is in error.
Caption title on p. 1: A poetical account of the war lately declared between the ancients and the moderns. With similar running titles to p. 180.
The poem, pp. 181-211, is a translation of Perrault's 'Le siècle de Louis le Grand', which began the controversy.
The title-page is apparently a cancel.
Errata list on p.[12], with advertisement for books sold by John Nutt on verso.
