Additional description
Wanting the blank leaf, A1, between the frontispiece and the general title A2. The portrait of Ovid precedes the second A1. Corrections in text and list of Dramatis personae on verso of title to The obstinate lady in supposed autograph of author, according to a note dated July 1873 on verso of front free endpaper. This endpaper also carries on its verso bibliographical notes in the handwriting of an earlier owner (eighteenth century?) and of the late Colonel C.H. Wilkinson, to whom the volume last belonged. Between endpaper and frontispiece are the stubs of two fly-leaves, the second bearing traces of ms. Inserted is a slip carrying further bibliographical information in a different hand, probably nineteenth century. Armorial bookplate (nineteenth century?) with motto Loyal je suis .
