Written by Sir George Buck, and edited, with alterations and additions, by his great nephew, George Buck.


First issued as Sir George Buck's "Dafnis polystefanos", 1605, but very much altered.


With an additional title-page which reads "An eclog betweene Dimætas a woodman, and Silenus a prophet of the shepheards. Written by Geo. Buck gent.... 1635".

Wanting: A1 and G4, both presumed blank. With the signature of J. Bindley on the title-page, and, inside the front cover, the bookplate of C.H. Wilkinson and some pencil notes in his hand
